Do parts produced by aluminum die casting have a smooth surface?

The surface of parts produced by aluminum die-casting is usually relatively smooth, but the smoothness of surface quality may be affected by various factors. Generally speaking, aluminum alloys have good fluidity and can fill the complex shapes of molds, which makes the surface of aluminum die-casting parts relatively smooth. However, due to factors such as the cooling rate of the metal liquid during aluminum die casting, the surface condition of the mold, and the composition of the aluminum alloy, some subtle defects may appear on the surface of the parts, such as slight pores, cold shuts, mold patterns, or small scratches. If higher surface finish is required, subsequent treatments such as sandblasting, polishing, anodizing, etc. are usually necessary. In general, the surface of aluminum die-casting parts is flat and smooth in most cases, suitable for most applications, but for higher surface smoothness requirements, some post-processing is still needed.
